During our last meeting of the year on Thursday, October 30, our discussion will revisit the topic:
Facilitating for Growth: Approaches for Conversations around Identity.
ATD Cascadia Member, Isaiah J. Sheffield-Thergood, will facilitate our continued exploration of the challenges of engaging tough conversations involving identity. Building from the perspective that DEI efforts are often stifled due to a lack of constructive conversations, we'll discuss and share practices for: identifying opportunities for productive dialogue, drawing the most out of an identity-based/emotionally charged conversation, and respecting participants' identities and viewpoints while embracing the learning in discomfort.
