Teaching professional software seems simple—until it isn’t. Inadequate training is often blamed for failed software adoption, even if broken software is the problem. Meanwhile, the need for workers to learn new software grows everyday.

As learning experts, we need to leverage the best strategies to design, develop, and manage software training. Where do we start and what should we avoid? The answers involve a mix of disciplines—a mix that our speaker, Steve Brooks, has gleaned over three decades in technical training.

In this interactive session, Steve will share numerous examples, offering insights like what should go in training vs job aid resources, what kinds of e-Learning styles to use, and how to help learners with ever-changing software versions.

Join the exploration and conversation on this fascinating topic!

Steven Brooks is a Senior Instructional Designer with Public Partnerships. His specialty is e-Learning and software training, having created both for numerous different industries. Steve also serves as President of the ATD-Cascadia Chapter.
