To design training that learners will value and enjoy, we need to involve them in the training design itself. That idea sounds simple, but our efforts often get blocked.

Naomi Pusch has 16 years of experience in training and instructional design, and has always had empathy for the learner. After completing a certificate in user experience (UX) with the Nielsen Norman group, she’s been on a quest to bring UX principles and tools to the world of L&D.

• Our Chapter Meetings are a great opportunity to connect with talent development colleagues from across the area as well as to learn something new as each meeting focuses on a different topic related to our profession. Meetings take place the place the third Monday of each month (except December) and are open to members and non-members alike.
